Kesenian Tedja Timur ‘Rainbow of Arts from the East’ was founded in 1948.
Over the years, the public knew KTT as "Kuda Kepang" (Horse Dance) mainly performed in Malay wedding functions. As the group is now expanding with more anticipating youths together in this new era, Kesenian Tedja Timur has expanded its arts into more variety performances like Gamelan Ensemble, Kompang, Javanese dance, Fire Demo and Horse Dance (Kuda Kepang).

Since 1992 Kesenian Tedja Timur has Ensemble-in-Residence at Malay Village Pte Ltd performing weekly satuardays.
Because of its enchanting and unique performances, in 2001, Kesenian Tedja Timur who has been managing and Co-Ordinate by our young choreographer and gamelan composer, Iswandiarjo B.Wa, has received a number of invitations like performing in the National Heritage Festival in 1994, National Arts Festival in 1998, National Day Performance in 1990, performing in hotel functions like Alkaff Mansion and some other hotels, functions held in Sentosa Island, Resorts and some major shopping centre events. not forgetting Malay wedding every Sundays.

Kesenian Tedja Timur wishes to convey messages through works of art. Beginning with art forms descended from their forefathers, they are also in the constant search for new art works Like the multi-colored rainbow, the versatile ktt does a full range of performing arts.
This includes Kuda Kepang performances, wayang orang (wong), wayang kulit, tari rakyat, kompang, gamelan ensemble and other folk performances. Nevertheless, Kesenian Tedja Timur holds strong Eastern values, especially in the Malay-Javanese world. kesenian Tedja Timur sees the importance in preserving and keeping these ancient art forms alive and flourishing for the next generation.

specific values and attributes of Kesenian Tedja Timur are; sanctity, Authenticity and Subtlety, Resoluteness, Determination, Gallantry … in championing the arts of the East, specifically kuda kepang performances.
